Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday. I love to dress up, I love to decorate for it, I love to party, I love to drink, I love to pretend that I am 12. All around I LOVE IT. Every year since my husband and I have owned our house we have hosted an annual halloween party. It is by far the best event of the year.  I make jungle juice that contains about $200 of liquor and jello shots. We set up the beer pong tables and flip cup. Trust me, it is not to be missed. We decorate our house and hook up the fog machines. We even set up a big Photo Booth. It is NO JOKE!

Trust me when I say that this is a drunken shit show, there is no other way to describe it. This year I made my costume myself and I was a Loofah. It was phenomenal. Here is a photo:

So, after many {many} games of flip cup and beer pong we were inside dancing and taking pictures in the Photo Booth. Somehow the conversation turned to "twerking". Now the only thing that I have ever known about twerking was a disgusting display that I had seen on the VMAs that looked like this:

Twerking (/ˈtwɜrkɪŋ/) is a type of dancing in which the dancer, usually a woman, shakes her hips in an up-and-down bouncing motion, causing the dancer's buttocks to shake, "wobble" and "bounce".^[1] According to Oxford Dictionaries, to twerk is "to dance to popular music in a sexually provocative manner involving thrusting hip movements and a low squatting stance".^[2]



My friends were talking about some type of twerking that I had never heard of! They said that Miley had a video that was all over the place where she was twerking with her legs up on the wall like in a handstand. I couldn't believe my ears!!!! Who could do that?!

Me showing disbelief and not believing that anyone could physically do that turned into everyone daring me to do this amazing feat of skank-dom. Well, turns out I had just enough jungle juice to take them up on this offer.... and then fell on my head.

So, TWERK WITH CAUTION...
