1. What am I most proud of this year? Graduating from grad school with my Master's Degree and then passing my National Boards as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
2. How can I become a better _____________? Nurse Practitioner! By expanding my knowledge base and continuing to learn. I believe that as a medical professional the best thing that you can do is continue to learn and advance with science. There are always new things and studies that will allow you to treat and help your patients in new and exciting ways.
3. Where am I feeling stuck? I am feeling stuck in the job department, not really wanting to talk about it though. I am also feeling stuck personally in expanding my family, we have been unable to expand our family and this has been VERY difficult for me this year.
4. Where do I need to allow myself grace? I need to allow myself to "not be ok". I don't let others know when I am a mess and I need to learn to ask for support when I need it. I tend to suffer in silence alone and it really doesn't get me anywhere.
5. Am I passionate about my career? Yes, I am very passionate about helping people and making a difference in the life of my patients.
6. What lessons have I learned? I have learned so much this year that I really cannot list it all here. I think the biggest thing that I learned is probably that I need to take my own advice. When things get to be too much to handle I need to reach to other coping mechanisms and be willing to use medication.
7. What did my finances look like? Like crap, thanks for asking.
8. How did I spend my free time? With Foster! He is my everything and I love spending time playing and watching movies with him.
9. How well did I take care of my body, mind, and soul? This year I took more steps to care of my mind and body but I still need to do much better taking care of my soul. I lost weight this year {in the second half of the year} and I feel a lot better about my body.
10. How have I been open-minded? This year I have tried new things, met new people, nourished old friendships, created new ones. I have been open minded to new fields of practice and medicine. I have tried to be very open-minded this year!
